Body Weight
Do you have a healthy body weight? There are two easy measurements you could do to find out if you are at a healthy weight: your body mass index (BMI) and your waist size. For most adults (at age 20 or older), these measurements provide good clues to whether you are at a healthy weight. Body weight is measured in kilograms (kg) in most countries, although in the United States and some countries it is still measured in pounds (lb).

Calculate your BMI (use BMI Calculator)
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fatness based on a person's height and weight. BMI is an easy method to screen for healthy body weight based on a person's height. For adult men and women (at age 20 or older), BMI is calculated by dividing the weight (W) by the squared height (H): BMI=W/.

The BMI weight categories are: underweight (BMI: less than 18.5), normal or healthy weight (BMI range: 18.5 to 24.9), overweight (BMI range: 25 to 29.9), and obese (BMI range: 30 or greater). The obese category is further divided into: obese (BMI range: 30 to 34.9), severely obese (BMI range: 35 to 39.9), and morbidly obese (BMI range: 40 or greater).
